Female Shamans and Medicine Women
In some societies that practice shamanism there is a preference for the practitioners to be female. Evidence from archaeology in the Czech Republic indicated that the earliest Upper Palaeolithic shamans were in fact women (Tedlock, 2005).

What do you think about naturism? And what do you know about naturism? And what do you know about it?
According to the internet at large, naturism is sex, porn, bad stuff, naked people doing ‘the unmentionable’ (whatever that is, because there are plenty of words – check any dictionary). Church is no substitute for religion, Part 3: Why we need Pagan shrines not “temples”
John Halstead explores the relationship between spirituality, religion, and church. In Part 1, he discussed the Sunday Assembly, which strives to be a church without religion, and how it is different from the UU. In Part 2, he tried to explain what’s missing from religionless churches like the Sunday Assembly and the UU. And in Part 3, he explains how Paganism might be an answer to the longing of Nones for religion without church.

Blue Zones
Blue Zones are regions of the world where people live much longer than average. The term first appeared in the November 2005 National Geographic magazine cover story “The Secrets of a Long Life” by Dan Buettner. He identified five geographic areas where people live statistically longest and offers an explanation as to why these populations live healthier and longer lives. Residents of these places produce a high rate of centenarians, suffer a fraction of the diseases that commonly kill people in other parts of the developed world, and enjoy more years of good health.
