This is a great anthology of short stories, with two common traits: they involve witches, and they are (almost all) written by women. Well-written, compelling, intriguing. What a witch is, what a witch does, and how society views witches, is different in each story. One would have thought that everything has been said about witches, and that there can’t be new angles for tales about witches. Turns out: writers have a lot of fantasy, and there are always new ways to look at witches and witchery. I did not know any of these writers, so the book is also a nice introduction.
